Threats of war against Iran, a possible change of course in Ukraine policy, Washington’s military intervention in Venezuela’s state apparatus, negotiations on the future of Greenland and NATO – the US foreign policy agenda is more full and more consequential than it has been for years. The decisions made in Washington shape global realities: they determine how wars begin and end, how alliances are strained. What is behind these developments? What strategy – or what vision – is currently driving American foreign policy?
Half an Hour with… is a new transatlantic discussion format from the Association of German-American Centers, of which the Carl Schurz House is a member. Once a month, we invite you to join us for a half-hour discussion with experts who provide in-depth and concise insights into the United States and German-American relations. Whether it’s current political developments, social trends, economic perspectives, or cultural insights, Half an Hour with… brings transatlantic topics directly to your home or office. Take advantage of this opportunity to meet exciting personalities, discover different perspectives, and contribute your questions to the dialogue.
