Twelve eventful months have passed since America elected Donald Trump for a second time. What has changed with the opinionated mogul back in power? We invite young U.S. voters to a follow-up discussion to our highly acclaimed election day panel, “What We Vote For: Young Transatlantic Perspectives on the Election”. Once again, young American voices come together – smart, open, and without diplomatic detours. They take stock: Which promises to his electorate has the 47th U.S. President kept, and which have fizzled out? Does Trump’s autocratically inspired governing style threaten America’s democracy? How has the past year’s politics influenced the economy, justice, climate, and international relations? And: Where does the next generation get involved themselves, instead of just watching? Our panel is not a nostalgic look back, but a clear, insightful look forward: personal, critical, inspiring. Anyone who wants to understand where America – and with it, the transatlantic partnership – will go until election day in 2028 will get first-hand answers here from people for whom the future truly matters.
