Independence Day Party

250 years of the United States—that’s certainly a proud anniversary, though it’s one that can still evoke mixed feelings these days. We’re celebrating with you anyway. Or perhaps: precisely because of that. America won’t be this young again!

To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States’ Independence Day, we’re hosting our annual “Independence Day Party” on Sunday, July 5, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the open-air Ganter-Haus beer garden at Leo-Wohleb-Straße 4. What brings us together isn’t a particular opinion about the state of the country—but the belief that spare ribs, live music, and good company can help in almost any situation.

There will be a big barbecue featuring hot spare ribs and plenty of grilled food, cold drinks from the beer garden, live music, a professionally supervised kids’ corner, typical American sports activities to try out, and, of course, the “Watermelon Eating Contest” for competitive eaters of all ages. Everyone is welcome—regardless of their current feelings toward the birthday boy, the USA!
