House Rules

  1. Das Carl-Schurz-Haus (CSH) ist für alle da. Jede:r Besucher:in hat sich so zu verhalten, dass andere Gäste und der Institutsbetrieb nicht gestört, behindert, belästigt oder gefährdet werden.
    The Carl-Schurz-Haus (CSH) is a place for everyone. Every visitor must behave in such a manner that other guests and the institute’s operations are not disturbed, hindered, harassed, or endangered.

  2. Alle Besucher:innen sind gleichberechtigt, unabhängig von Alter und anderen Merkmalen. Jeglicher Ausdruck von Diskriminierung, Fremdenfeindlichkeit, Rassismus oder politischem Extremismus ist im CSH untersagt.
    All visitors have equal rights regardless of their age or other characteristics. Any expression of discrimination, xenophobia, racism, or political extremism is prohibited at the CSH.

  3. Besucher:innen haften für Schäden, die sie verursachen.
    Visitors are liable for any property damages they cause.

  4. Für Kinder sind die begleitenden Erwachsenen aufsichtspflichtig. Sind Kinder oder Jugendliche allein im CSH, übernimmt das CSH keine Aufsicht und Haftung. Dies gilt auch bei öffentlichen Veranstaltungen.
    Accompanying adults must supervise their children. If children or young adults are at the CSH without supervision, the institute takes over no liability. This also applies to public events.

  5. Das Auslegen von Werbung und Veranstaltungsprogrammen sowie das Anbringen von Plakaten ist nur mit Zustimmung des CSH möglich. Widerrechtlich angebrachte Werbung oder Plakate werden entfernt.
    Displaying advertisement or hanging posters is only permitted with the institute’s consent. Advertisement or posters displayed without the institute’s consent will be removed.

  6. Für die Garderobe wird keine Haftung übernommen.
    No liability is assumed for the coat rack.

  7. Fundsachen sind im Sekretariat abzugeben.
    Found property is to be handed in at the secretary’s office.

 

Das Hausrecht steht der Leitung des CSH zu und wird im Auftrag vom Personal wahrgenommen. Den Anweisungen der Mitarbeiter:innen ist Folge zu leisten. Verstöße gegen die Hausordnung können mit Hausverweis, Hausverbot, Strafanzeige und Schadensersatzforderungen geahndet werden.
The CSH house rules are carried out by the director or the staff. Instructions must be followed. Any violations can result in expulsion, a house ban, criminal charges, and claims for damages.
